We at the purple maids offer the environmentally responsible green cleaning in Seattle.
According to the EPA indoor air has 2 to 5 times or even 100 times more pollutants than outdoor air and that one of the sources of these pollutants is products for household cleaning and maintenance. That’s why at The Purple Maids we are committed to making sure we use the very best green cleaning products that leave your home healthy and sparkling. Because we did not want to clean your home with products that are toxic or that are green and ineffective, we did our research and found the best products and equipment that are both green and actually work.
Did you know that most homes keep in their medicine cabinets the greenest cleaner for their homes? They have with them the wonder cleaner that can both clean and sanitize their homes without exposing them to harsh chemicals. Yes, am talking about the 99c dark brown bottle of hydrogen peroxide we use to clean cuts and scrapes. This unknown gem carries with it the most versatile cleaning power for 95% of your home cleaning needs from windows, to stainless steel, counter tops, restrooms, as a neutral floor cleaner, degreaser, deodorizer and sanitizer. The only drawback is that when hydrogen peroxide is exposed to light, it loses its cleaning ability.
At purple Maids we use Envirox’s H2Orange2 cleaning system. It’s the only EPA REGISTERED Stabilized Hydrogen Peroxide. Their Unique patented stabilized hydrogen peroxide technology oxidizes and breaks down organic soils, making them easy to remove without leaving behind residue. Hydrogen peroxide is non-toxic and safe in your home around kids and pets.
To add that extra sparkle to special surfaces and help protect them, we use all green wood polish, green natural stone cleaners & polish and green stainless steel polish.
For the carpets, we use ProTeam 4-stage filtration back pack vacuum, to remove 99.9% of all air particulates 1 micron and larger for maximum indoor air quality.
We use microfiber dusters, dust mops, towels and wet mops for cleaning. Microfiber generates a static electric charge when moved across a surface that attracts dust and contains it, rather than spreading it around or releasing it into the air when dry dusting. It is also effective in capturing microbes that when used in mops it reduces bacteria by 99%. We color code our microfiber towels to prevent cross contamination.
